The doctoral program "Cultural Personality, Psychological Anthropology and migration Studies" is based on the mission and goals of TSU. The goals of the doctoral program are:
- To form the highly qualified professionals who can generate new scientific knowledge in the fields of psychological anthropology, cultural personology, and migration studies; Elaboration of current theoretical issues, including innovative development of existing theoretical approaches to the cultural foundations of higher mental processes.
- To train the highly qualified researchers who, based on multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, can use/create synthetic research strategies/ methods, develop new scientific ideas and practical innovations, and make conclusions of scientific and practical value based on ethical principles.
- To train the professionals for in-depth research of migration processes, who will be able to theoretically model the adaptive processes of immigrants and develop an effective policy (policy) focused on their well-being.
- To train interdisciplinary-minded pedagogical personnel with competencies corresponding to the requirements of academic positions in higher education institutions, competitive in the employment market, whose activities will contribute to the development of interdisciplinary scientific thinking.

The applicants with the following qualifications could be accepted
- Master’s degree or equivalent academic degree in any field/subfield of psychology or anthropology
- Master's degree or equivalent academic degree in any field/subfield of social and humanitarian sciences
- A graduate of a foreign university is eligible for enrolment in the program in accordance to the legislation of Georgia
Prerequisites for admission to the doctoral program:
The candidate is required
- To submit the documentation specified by the individual administrative-legal act of the university rector;
- To have English language proficiency at least at B2 level (Presenting a certificate of knowledge recognized by TSU Language Study Center, or passing a written exam in the English language organized by TSU)
- To have the recommendation/consent of the potential supervisor
- To submit a research proposal
- Pass the interview with admission committee
Enrollment in the doctoral educational program "Cultural Personology, Psychological Anthropology and migration studies" by mobility or by transfer from a recognized higher educational institution of a foreign country is possible twice a year, within the time limits established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in accordance with mandatory procedures and rules established by the university. Admission to the doctoral program is announced in the fall and/or spring semesters.

The Doctoral student:
- Thinks creatively and problematically about the challenges and solutions of modern psychological anthropology, cultural personology and migration studies; Based on systematic knowledge based on the latest achievements, critically analyzes existing theoretical models and research data in this direction.
- Systematically considers the possibilities of integrating existing knowledge in the relevant scientific fields of the program in interdisciplinary socio-scientific research.
- Deeply analyzes the specifics of synthesis-oriented research strategies/methods and creatively considers the innovative possibilities of investing a psychological component in contemporary psychological anthropology, cultural personology and migration studies.
- Creatively discusses modern teaching methods with the goals of interdisciplinary teaching in mind.
- Based on a critical understanding of theoretical paradigms and a creative vision, taking into account the specifics of the research field creating and using synthetic, innovative methodologies in compliance with the principles of academic integrity; Generates new knowledge based on interdisciplinary thinking and research results.
- Creates new, specialized, interdisciplinary orientation lecture courses in accordance with modern university standards.
- Participates in national and international discussions and speaks before colleagues and the general public.
- Takes responsibility for lifelong learning and professional development, supporting the professional development of others.
- Leads and implements development-oriented activities, and research projects based on the latest achievements.
- Effectively cooperates and conducts professional communication with colleagues and other interested persons in compliance with ethical norms; Self-monitors for plagiarism and adheres to ethical standards of research.

- Scientific research and applied centers/institutes studying human (socio-humanitarian and natural science orientation) and cultural specificity.
- Higher education institutions.
- Governmental and private structures whose interests include studying the dynamics of various spheres of public life and developing strategies (economy, business, marketing, management, education, medicine, mass media, politics, law, service sector, etc.).
- Educational structures and groups (museums, exhibition galleries) focused on the promotion/presentation of the material and spiritual heritage in a wider context.
- State and non-governmental organizations working on the integration of immigrants, internally displaced persons, and former immigrants.
